Woodlands Wholesale is a family owned and run ornamental plant nursery based in the heart of Leicestershire. We specialise in growing and wholesaling bedding and pot plants to the largest garden centres in the country. We combine over 100 years of experience with state of the art production facilities to produce industry leading quality plants.
We nurture over 4 million plants a year most from our in house computer controlled propagation facility using the latest techniques and the highest regard for the environment. We then distribute nationwide using a combination of our own vehicles or specialist transport companies. We pride ourselves in supplying the best quality and freshest stock in the marketplace.
Our growing team have a vast experience of growing high quality plants such as Poinsettia, Cyclamen and a huge range of seasonal bedding plants. In particular our home grown hanging baskets and geraniums are renowned in the garden centre industry. Woodlands Wholesale nurseries customers include Dobbies garden centres, QVC and many independent garden centres. The nursery was acquired from Wyevale garden centres in 2019 by the manager of 25 years Jamie Downes retaining the team of highly skilled staff.
Our nursery facilities include over 4 acres of glasshouse production, all controlled by the latest environmental computer system, rainwater is harvested from the roof and recycled, all compost waste is used locally and plastic is recycled by a local waste recycling company. From 2020 all our plastic used is detectable and so is potentially kerbside recyclable.
